The Seminar: “Vietnam Architecture – To cope with future challenges”
“Vietnam Architecture – To cope with future challenges” seminar will take place on the first two days of VIETARC’09 (4th-5th June 2009). 12 leading architectural lecturers in the world will join in this seminar. Firstly, the organizer has invited the following lecturers: Ronald Lu (Hong Kong), Jan Utzon (Denmark), Toby Bath, Steven Townsend (HOK, U.S.A), Tetsuo Furuichi (Japan) together with about 500 guests and architectures in Vietnam as well as from abroad.

* On Thu, 4th June 2009:
In the morning: Overview of Vietnam Architecture and Cities in 2009
- The Minister of Construction makes a speech.
- The Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee makes salutation speech.
- The Chairman of Vietnam Architecture Association makes a speech.
- The Representative of the Ha Noi Service of Architecture Project states a General Project Report of Ha Noi City.
- The Representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Service of Architecture Project states a General Project Report of Ho Chi Minh City.
- Mr. Savills makes an Introductory Overview of Investment Situation and Real Estate Market in Vietnam for the period 2007-2009 and its Forecast.
- The Chairman of Vietnam Architecture Association and two guest experts preside over a debate about the prospect of Vietnam urban areas development.
In the afternoon:
- Special Subject No. 1: Asia Role in developing the current architecture.
- Special Subject No. 2: Firm design.
* On Fri, 5th June 2009:
In the morning:
- Special Subject No. 3: Urban Project in interrelationship with Architecture and Real Estate Development.
- Special Subject No. 4: New Model for Architecture Companies of 21st Century.
In the afternoon:
- Special Subject No. 5: Global Architecture to the Local Voice: Architecture of the future.
- Special Subject No. 6: Breakthrough in Architecture.
All the above-mentioned 6 special Subjects imply to tend towards the current context and future prospects of Vietnam Architecture.
